Profile
Nestled in the heart of the historic Fayetteville, North Carolina, Joy In Learning Discovery Center is an answer to prayer for families seeking specialized therapy services for dyslexia, dysgraphia, high functioning autism, and various other “dis” abilities. The work we do is based on neurology married to education to create educational therapy; a program to help train the brain to be more effective in learning and in life! Cherene Comick, M.Ed, the center’s owner and founder, brings over 20 years of experience as an Exceptional Education director and holds an NILD educational therapist certification since 1994.
Her expertise is in training students how to think, based on Feuerstein theory and is Level 2 trained in Cognitive Enrichment.
Cherene’s passion for empowering students with varying disabilities and learning differences shines through the center’s effective strategies and personalized designed therapy sessions. At Joy In Learning, each child is embraced for their unique strengths and challenges, and encouraged to be all that they can be as they learn and grow academically, cognitively, emotionally and perceptually.
Parents looking for expert tutoring tailored to their child’s needs will find a welcoming community at Joy In Learning Discovery Center.
